The Dromedes Household

Situated within the center of Heidel City the Dromedes Family has been renowned for their handcrafted teas.  They are sold throughout the three provinces of Serendia, Balenos, and Calpheon currently and hopefully expanding towards Valencia one day.  However, as tensions are high with Valencia that is only a future prospect.

The humble abode is more akin to a library filled primarily on ancient knowledge, history, magics, and specifically studies of the Black Energy.  There is also an impressive collection of recipe books.  However this library is not limited to this single abode.  The collection also extends to several warehouses scattered around the city.

The Dromedes Family is shrouded in mystery.  Although they reside within a major city and famous for their teas the family keeps to themselves and does not entertain many guests.  People have seen them about the city but they seem to be quite secretive and elusive.

Kyltania Dromedes

She is the matriarch of the Dromedes Family.  Living a very difficult life without parents to properly raise her she endured a very harsh existence on her own.  Most of her past is still a mystery that she has very unsettling dreams about at night.  Delving in The Black Arts as a deadly sorceress she communes with the Black Spirits and seems to have a deep connection with them.  She studies the effects of the Black Energy and offers assistance to those who are possessed and affected by it. Though, she does this very covertly as she has worked very hard to establish herself as a reputable tea merchant to support her two children.  It has often been very difficult being a single parent.

She is an exceptional cook, versed in a number different of cuisines and takes much pride in her teas.  There has been an occasion where she could be accused of being a problematic book hoarder and possibly a crazy cat lady.

Aschlei Dromedes

Kyltania's eldest son, he was touched by The Black Energy while he was in her womb.  When he was born his body was covered in strange black markings as a side effect.  Many mistake him for one of the plagued of Keplan whose flesh is rotting from the exposure to the dark energy of The Black Stones so he is shunned regularly.  On the contrary he is remarkable in the sense that he is immune to the effects of The Black Energy.   However, if more people knew of his gift he might be sought after as a valuable commodity for all the wrong reasons.  It's possible he might be worked to death in the Black Stone mines, extraction mill, or possibly even experiment on him.  He chooses to live as an outcast and does not speak, even though he is capable--with all good reason as he is able to corrupt and influence people with his voice.  He also avoids eye contact as his pupils lack all color.  They look quite beastly up close.  This has made him very self conscious and he does not trust anyone outside of his family.

Viollet Dromedes

As Kyltania was unable to bear anymore children after her son, Viollet is a child that she fostered from Keplan.  While doing research, she encountered the girl who was left as an orphan as her parents were forced to work in the Black Stone mines for a living.  Viollet tends to be the ray of sunshine in the household as she is usually cheerful and adventurous.  She spends her days primarily doing chores for her mother but she hopes to become a brave adventurer someday instead of milking cows.

Other Characters

Lyra Wentria

An extremely adventurous and free woman she wanders the world in search of treasure and excitement.  Born in the slums of Calpheon her father unfortunately became a victim of brutal and ruthless tax collectors.  As her mother was left alone with her she was worked like a dog and died of sickness.  Not even a grown woman, Lyra left the city in hopes of a better life as she'd rather die free than in the slums.  Out of desperation she prayed to Elion for mercy and somehow managed to find her way to Longleaf Tree Sentry Post as a place of sanctuary and healing.  Whether it was an act of God or by chance she has always believed in a merciful God since that day.  She learned to shoot a bow and hunt with the Kamasilve to survive and earn her keep.  Though she was born a human she felt more like one of them and she remained at the outpost for a very long time.  Occasionally she would venture out to seek some thrills.
